I recently purchased a Sony DSC-W290 digital camera without remorse! I watched for a few weeks in all the brands and read all the comments before deciding on the Sony DSC-W290. Sony cameras by improvement in reliability over 5 years in two leading consumer magazine! I am glad I bought a Sony! Sony DSC-W290 has an excellent video quality and high definition video. Video and audio is in stereo! My friends Panasonic with similar features such as Sony Records in mono! Believe me, that is a big difference in sound quality! Sony picks up a sound more realistic and sounds better and clearer than the Panasonic! Something to consider, as Sony DSC-W290 is a great quality high definition video. I feel like the high-definition video must have a stereo sound, because not all the wounds camera manufacturer in high-definition video without it? To my surprise, Sony is way ahead of the comp
